  For most investors hoping to play the Chinese market, owning mutual funds is the easiest way to go. A sampling of funds with big positions in China include:

JPMorgan China Region Fund - Fund objective to provide long-term capital growth by investing primarily in companies in the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Fidelity China Region Fund - The fund invests principally in equity securities quoted on stock exchanges in Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.

Matthews China Fund - A single country fund that invests in the companies of Mainland China listed on the stock markets of Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

Guinness Atkinson China & Hong Kong Fund - Seeks long-term capital appreciation primarily through investments in equity securities of China & Hong Kong companies.

AllianceBernstein Greater China '97 Fund
- A non-diversified investment company that seeks long term capital appreciation through investment, under normal circumstances, of at least 80 percent of its net assets in equity securities issued by Greater China companies.

Columbia Newport Greater China Fund - Under normal market conditions, the fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in stocks of companies whose principal activities are in the Greater China Region. These countries may include Hong Kong, The People Republic of China and Taiwan.

US Global Investors China Region Opportunity Fund
- Fund's objective is to achieve capital appreciation by capitalizing on the economic growth in the Greater China Region, including China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.
